Foundation Phase Learners

Return to school on 23.2.21

All Foundation Phase age learners can return to school on Tuesday February 23rd, 2021.

Please be assured that we will have all the usual safety measures in place including, strict class bubbles, regular hand washing and adults wearing face masks in communal areas.

We have also been very busy working with the Health and Safety team and have revised our drop off and collection processes for Foundation Phase learners. This is following feedback from parents/carers on the recent survey. We thank you for your feedback and have been successful in devising a plan to avoid the cross over of parents at the nursery ramp area.

The Health and Safety team have agreed this new plan for the entry and collection of our learners.

We would like to introduce the ‘Caegarw Loop’ for the drop off and collection of Foundation phase age learners. This video explains the loop and the drop off/collection process:

Year 2 pupils in Mrs Hawkins class will enter the school using Arnold Street steps entrance and the time window for pupils in this class is from 9.00 to 9.10am.

Pick-Up Times

Dosbarth Enfys (full-time pupils only) pick up is at 3.00pm following the Caegarw Loop.
Dosbarth Pilipala, pick-up is at 3.15pm following the Caegarw Loop.
Year 2 pupils in Class 3, pick-up is from the ‘bottom yard’ in front of the Arches at 3.25pm.

Please remember:
• Only one adult to complete the drop off/pick-up process
• Adults MUST wear a face mask
• Please queue 2m away from other parents/carers (stadium by one of our blue faces painted on the yard)
• Whilst following the Caegarw Loop please supervise your children and remember that they are not allowed to play on the yard

We understand that uniform could be an issue as the children grow so quickly and it is difficult to purchase uniform under the current restrictions therefore if you do not have a suitable uniform then please just send your child/children into school in suitable, comfortable and warm clothing.

We look forward to welcoming our youngest children back to school and thank you for all of your support and hard work with home learning.
