Slight Changes to the School’s Risk Assessment for Covid19

Welcome to the Spring Term 2022 at Caegarw Primary School. We hope that you have had a lovely break and would like to wish all of our school community a Happy and Healthy 2022.

To ensure that our school is as safe as possible we have made slight amendments to our safety procedures.

Start of the School Day

Please remember to wear a mask for drop off and collection

Children in Mrs Richards’ and Miss Cowley/Mrs Scorey’s class will start school at their usual time and follow our school’s one way system for drop off and collection. For children in these classes the rolling entry time will be from 8.50am – 9.00am

Children in Miss Hawkins and Mr Young’s classes will start school at 9.00am and enter the junior building using the Arnold Street steps door

Children in Mrs Gowen’s and Mr Topping’s classes will start school at 8.45am and enter the junior building using the Arnold Street steps door

End of the School Day

Children in Mrs Richards’ and Miss Cowley/Mrs Scorey’s class will finish school at their usual time following our school’s one way system for collection. Mrs Richards’ pupils will finish at 3.00pm and Miss Cowley/Mrs Scorey’s pupils at 3.15pm.

If you have older children then please collect all of your family at the latest time, we will hold on to younger siblings until the end of the school day for our older children. For example, if you have a child in nursery and in class 4, then pick up the nursery child at 3.25pm and the pupil in class 4 at 3.30pm

Children in Miss Hawkins and Mr Young’s classes will finish the school day at 3.30pm, please use the same procedures for collection as last term.

Children in Mrs Gowen’s and Mr Topping’s classes will finish school at 3.15pm. Please use the same procedures for the collection as last term eg Arnold Street Steps collection point.

Unfortunately school swimming has been cancelled for this term and therefore classes 3, 4 and 5 will not be having swimming lessons this term.

Visitors to School

For this half term (reviewed at half term) we will not be holding face to face meetings at school. Please can parents and guardians phone school rather than visiting the reception area, also please pay for school dinners using the online payment system. Teacher’s will be available via email but please allow a reasonable amount of time for the teachers to respond.

Please do not send you child/children to school if they have any symptoms of Covid.

Once again we thank you for your continued support and welcome any evaluations or feedback, we look forward to a busy term at school.

If you have any queries or concerns then please telephone 01443 473730
